By following these tips, you can make sure that you and your dog have a safe and enjoyable long-distance trip.

Get your dog vaccinated 

Before you travel, make sure your dog is up to date on all of their vaccinations. This will help protect them from diseases they may come into contact with.

Pack Essentials 

Pack all of your dog's essentials, including food, water, bowls, a leash and harness, poop bags, toys, and treats. You should also pack any medication your dog takes.

Tire Your Dog Out 

Dogs have a lot of energy, so it's important to tire them out before you start your trip. Take them for a long walk or run, or play fetch with them.

Be sure to check with your airline for their restrictions and guidelines. If you're driving, make sure your dog has a safe place to ride.
